VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Led by Mihai Carcoana’s 19 points, the South Dakota Coyotes defeated the Mount Marty Lancers 97-58 on Monday night. The Coyotes moved to 4-4 with the win and the Lancers dropped to 0-2.
Five Coyotes scored in double figures for the first time this year. After scoring a career high 13 points Saturday against Coastal Carolina, Carcoana set a new career high with 19 points. Tasos Kamateros had 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting in 18 minutes.
South Dakota goes back on the road this week for a pair of road games at BYU and Air Force starting with BYU on Saturday.
