Edman Signs Letter of Intent with Black Hills State

Jackson Edman, senior at T.F. Riggs High School signed his National Letter of Intent on Monday to play basketball at Black Hills State University.

The 6’7 senior verbally committed in the early fall months, but made it official on Monday as he stays in state to the Division II program. Edman finished the 2021-22 season nearly averaging a double-double as he would average 12.2 points a game while pulling down 7.7 rebounds while also dishing out 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

The Yellow Jackets, playing in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference went to the Division II Final Four last season and have opened up a 4-0 record in the 2022-23 season. Edman says the coaching staff helped draw him in…

Edman is undecided on a major right now, but is leaning towards accounting. The Pierre boys basketball season opens at home on Dec. 9 and 10 hosting both Rapid City schools.
