The Pierre Governors would wrap up the 2022 season with a dominating three set win over the Lincoln Patriots on Saturday, winning 25-19, 25-16 and 25-19.
Remi Price started the day with an ace to give Pierre a 1-0 lead and it was all Pierre after that. Ayvrie Kaiser had 19 kills to lead the way in her final match as a Governor while senior Lily Sanchez had another 11 kills for Govs. Reese Terwilliger had six and Campbell Boddicker had five as the Govs didn’t trail until the third set. The front row blocking of Makenna Schlekeway, Terwilliger, Kaiser, Boddicker, Sanchez and Makayla Sherwood were dominant in keeping the Lincoln hitters at bay. Sophia Segel would lead the Patriots with just nine kills while Nyareal Kutey and Linnea Nesheim had eight. Tiffany Stoeser, head coach of the Governors says she’s proud of the ladies…

The Governor seniors of Price, Sanchez, Schlekeway, Kaiser, Dani Beck, Grace Soma, Hannah Lemieux and Madison Swenson finish their Governor career with an 18-6 record on the season.
