State Transportation Department To Add Stops Signs To Highway 47 At I-90 Exit 251

RELIANCE — The South Dakota Department of Transportation is planning to put up stop signs in all directions on South Dakota Highway 47 at Exit 251 on Interstate 90 in Lyman County. Using available data on traffic counts, crashes and current signage, multi-directional stop signs are being installed for north and southbound traffic on Highway 47. In additional to the stop signs, advance warning signs and rumble bars will be installed on the road surface of the highway. Exit 251 is three miles southeast of Reliance and the exit that takes Highway 47 south toward Winner. The enhanced safety measures will be installed on Highway 47 at Exit 251 on I-90 November 16th.
