Lyman One Step from State Title Game, Host Gregory in Semifinals

The Lyman Raiders will have a chance to reach the state championship game next Thursday and get the home field advantage as they host the Gregory Gorillas in the 9A State Semifinals.

The Raiders were 34-16 winners over Castlewood last Thursday as the second ranked Raiders reached the semifinals. They face a Gregory team who knocked off Wolsey-Wessington in the quarterfinals 34-19. Gregory has just one loss on the season, to 9AA Parkston 32-25 back at the end of September. The Gorillas are averaging 39 points a game with the Raiders scoring 42.6 points a game. The two high powered offenses will be looking to keep the same pace tonight. Kickoff tonight from Presho will be at 7:00 at Lyman High School. The Class 9A State Title game is scheduled for 7:00 on Thursday, Nov. 10.
