The Sully Buttes volleyball team will open the 6B region tournament on the road as the Potter County Battlers will host the rivals in the quarterfinals.
The two teams traded places back and forth with the four and five seeds, but it’s ultimately the Battlers finishing in fourth place in the region to be able to host the first round matchup over the Chargers. However, this is the second time the two teams will meet this year with Sully Buttes winning the first contest with a five set win back on September 27 in Gettysburg. Both teams are struggling to finish the season as both have dropped four of its last five contests to close the year with the Chargers falling in four straight. The Chargers at 13-16 will be looking for an upset win over the Battlers at 12-18 to advance to Thursday’s SoDak 16 Qualifying game, mostly likely traveling to take on Herreid/Selby Area.
