The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes are one step away from a SoDak 16 match as they would defeat the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves in four sets on Tuesday, 25-19, 25-20, 21-25 and 25-19.
The Lady Buffs were able to win the first two sets before having a minor set back in the third, but were still able to handle business at home to reach the qualifying game on Thursday. The win also secures Stanley County a winning record regardless of the outcome of Thursday’s game with a now 14-12 record. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte finishes the year at 6-20 as the six seed was unable to take the upset over the three seed.
Stanley County will travel to Mobridge on Thursday to face the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers in the SoDak 16 qualifying game. The Tigers had a straight sweep win over McLaughlin.
