The Pierre Governor Dance team would have a seventh place finish at the state meet in Watertown on Saturday.
The Governors scored a 263 in the pom division which would be good for fifth place. Pierre would add a 265 in the hip-hop division which was seventh place. The scores averaged for a 264 in seventh place, just one point shy of Aberdeen Central in sixth place. Brandon Valley edged out Washington for the state championship by 0.5 points. The Lynx scored a 298 while the Warriors had a 297.5 Brandon Valley nearly had a perfect score to win the state title.
Harrisburg would take home the cheer state championship with a 290 beating out O’Gorman by two points Jefferson by four points.
