State Cross Country Runs in Huron Saturday

Saturday, schools in all three classes will gather in Huron for the state cross country meet. Races begin at 12:00 and run through 2:30 at the Broadland Creek Golf Course

Pierre

The Pierre Governors will send its entire team for both the boys and girls. Mason Dell and Brady Gere are the only two seniors between the two teams competing for the Governors in their final race as a Governor.

Sully Buttes

Myli Weischedel is the lone competitor from the Sully Buttes Chargers. She’ll have plenty of opportunities to compete at the state meet as she enters state in just her freshman year with the Chargers.

Stanley County

Kaysen Magee and Rachel Nemec will both be competing for the Stanley County Lady Buffs while Spencer Sargent is the lone representative on the boys side.

Highmore-Harrold

Ethan Fyler and Dawson Hale are the two seniors competing for Highmore-Harrold. The Pirates are sending a full boys team for Class B while also having three compete in the girls race.

Potter County

Potter County will send a full team on the girls side with four competitors racing on the boys side. Max Mezela is the lone senior of the nine racers for the Battlers.

Miller

The Miller Rustlers don’t have a senior running in this year’s state meet but will be sending a full squad on both the boys and girls side looking for a team title as well as high individual finishes.

Jones County

The Jones County Coyotes will have three girls running at state this year. Jolie Dugan is the lone senior of the bunch competing for the final time.

Lyman

Lyman has just two individuals racing on Saturday. Sophomore Mason Ryan will compete in the boys race and freshman Taleyna McBride-Wingert on the girls side.

Class A Girls – 12:00

Class AA Girls – 12:30

Class B Girls – 1:00

Class A Boys – 1:30

Class AA Boys – 2:00

Class B Boys – 2:30

Awards – Following the conclusion of the final race
