Four different Governors were selected to the All-ESD teams on Wednesday as Rylan Derry and Devon Flottmeyer were selected to the boys team and Ryann Barry and Margret Maher on the girls team.
Derry and Barry both had All-State selections and were shoe-ins to be on the All ESD teams but for Maher and Flottmeyer, their defense is what brought them to the ESD teams. Flottmeyer did score three goals and assist on another two during the season, but he was part of the successful defense Pierre had as they allowed more than two goals in a game twice all season. The same can be said for Maher. She scored a goal and assisted on another in her senior campaign, but her defense was key for Pierre as the last line of defense and was able to stop attacks throughout an entire game and to help give the offense more chances.
