During the same time frame last year there were 12 vehicle-deer accidents and eight deer-related complaints in Pierre. Barringer says the deer-vehicle crashes were not contained to any one area in the Pierre City Limits….
None of the 2022 complaints arose from community members reporting deer in gardens or yards. The Deer Management Task Force was created in 2007 to administer an urban deer management program and holds annual meetings to discuss deer populations and any related management activity.
