There’s a new collegiate baseball team in town and Monday, the team name was introduced. The Oahe Zap will begin playing baseball at Hyde Stadium in the summer of 2023.

Team colors for the Zap will be navy blue, powder blue, bright yellow and white. The Oahe Zap office will be opening soon at 207 E. Capitol Ave, Ste. 208 in Pierre. Season tickets and merchandise will be on sale in the coming weeks, with announcements on social media and the website to inform those interested.
Bruce says they are still waiting for the full confirmation before they can announce the league the Zap will be playing in in 2023. The Zap take over for the Pierre Trappers which dissolved after the Expedition League folded after the 2022 season.
