The Pierre Governors had a representative from each of the boys and girls selected to the 2022 All-State Soccer teams. Rylan Derry was selected first team and Ryann Barry was selected second team.
Both teams finished over .500 on the season as the boys went 7-5-2. Derry scored 19 of the 39 goals on the year and assisted on another four. Derry doubled his career goal total to a record 38, 20 ahead of second place. Derry also passed the single season goal mark with the 19 goals, two ahead of Cole Peterson’s 17 from 2021. Derry’s four assists also put him at 23 in total, five ahead of second place all-time.
Barry led the Governors in both goals and assists in 2022 leading the team to a 9-5-1 record. Barry scored 11 times while assisting on 10 as she was directly involved with half of the teams goals this season. Barry now sits third all time in goals at 27 and also third all-time in assists with 19 in Pierre Governor team history.
