The Pierre Governor Cheer and Dance team wrapped up its regular season on Thursday competing at the ESD in Yankton. The Dance team would finish in fifth while the Cheer team at ninth.
The dance team had a score of 231.75 as they would finish third in the pom division and fifth in the hip-hop division. Pierre was just five points out of fourth place behind Watertown. Brandon Valley would take home the ESD title with a score of 288, 17 points better than Harrisburg.
Pierre cheer team would score a 190 but had 11 points deducted off its score as they finished in ninth place but without the deduction, would have jumped two spots to seventh and only two points behind sixth place. Harrisburg would score a 272 for the ESD title.
