In tight sets all match long, the Sully Buttes Charger volleyball team kept getting stronger, and Stanley County with late set bursts couldn’t find enough to take advantage and Sully Buttes outlasted Stanley County 24-26, 25-23, 25-20, and 25-11 Tuesday night in Onida.
For every rally by either team, the other team would counter and go on a run of their own. For Sully Buttes, Lydia Hill, Allyson Wittler and Trichelle White played solid at the net, and helped lead the way for the 11-11 Chargers, with Stevie Wittler playing solid by setting the front line, while Caydence Hand, Brylee Kafka and Grace Sargent lead the way for the 11-11 Lady Buffs, who had Olivia Chase, the top setter.
Next up for Sully Buttes is a Thursday road trip to Mobridge to take on the 19-4 Class A Tigers, and then Saturday for the Rustler Tournament in Miller. The Lady Buffs will be at Parkview Gym to host Dupree on Thursday.
