A Morris Incorporated cement truck brought the first load of cement Thursday to the site in Griffin Park around 11:30 am as the middle section of the 50-meter pool floor was poured. Project Manager Mike Jones with Sharpe Enterprises says the 2000 yards of concrete will make up the 50-meter pool decking and walls. An additional 2500 yards will be used for other parts of the pool complex. The walls of the 50-meter pool will be two-feet thick and the floor concrete is 16-inches thick. Next week crews will start setting forms for the deep end of the 50-meter pool.
