FORT PIERRE — The Stanley County Commission is meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse. Commissioners will consider the appointment of a new Treasurer and will hear from Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal. Deal will discuss South Dakota High School Rodeos for 2024 and 25; signage and pictures, the small crow’s nest and report on the recent horse racing events. Highway Superintendent Lee Smith will discuss lighting at the Hayes Shop with Commissioners. The Commission will consider approval of a three-month raise, Golden West Telecommunications right-of-way application for occupancy and an emergency medical services agreement. Commissioners will consider the five-year county highway and bridge improvement plan, a memorandum of agreement on an opioid settlement, the courthouse shop, an automatic budget supplement and an executive session for personnel. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five-PM.
