PIERRE — A Harrold man is arrested by Pierre Police on burglary and another charges. Pierre Police Captain Bryan Walz says officers were dispatched to a disturbance outside an apartment complex in the 400 block of South Robert Street just before 11pm on October 3rd. Upon arrival officers made contact with 32 year-old DeAndre Casey. Police learned through the investigation Casey was on parole and a hold had been requested by Casey’s parole agent. As officers attempted to take Casey into custody he fled on foot to the apartment on Robert Street. Casey forced his way into an apartment not belonging to him, causing damage to the door. He attempted to hide from officers in the apartment until he was located and arrested. Casey is facing charges of First Degree Burglary, Resisting Arrest. Obstructing an Officer and Intentional Damage to Property.
