Crisp passing, solid defense, and timely hitting propelled the Philip Lady Scotties to a 25-21, 25-15, 25-19 three set sweep of Sully Buttes Thursday night in Onida.
The Chargers didn’t help their cause with too many mis-hits, slow defense, and sloppy play at the net.
Hits by Dymond Lurz and Josie Menzel led the Lady Scotties offensively, while the back line play by libero Alyn Spry was inspiring.
The Chargers were led in kills by Lydia Hill and Stevie Wittler.
The victory ups the Lady Scotties season mark to 13-6, while Sully Buttes drops to 10-9. The Chargers have back-to-back matches Monday and Tuesday, at home against Timber Lake, and at Highmore to take on the Highmore Harrold Pirates.
