Tonight the Pierre Governors have an opportunity to knock off its 11AAA opponent as they travel to Brandon to face the Brandon Valley Lynx.
The Governors are at 5-0 and for the first time all season didn’t enact the running clock in the second half in the Watertown win although it was still a 34 point victory. Lincoln Kienholz has moved in position to potentially break all the time state record for pass yards as he needs 363 yards tonight to break the record set by Brandon Valley alum, Austin Sumner.
The Lynx are at 3-2 but have won all three games in a row coming into tonight. After falling to O’Gorman and Harrisburg to begin the season, the Lynx have two blow out wins and a 13 point victory over Rapid City Stevens last weekend. Lucas Slack has thrown for over 1100 yards in five games, 400 yards behind Keinholz’s 1500 so the Lynx will bring another passing attack like Yankton two weeks ago.
