The Pierre Governors were able to pick up a win on Tuesday over Rapid City Christian after its 10 day break from competition. Tonight, the Govs will face the defending state champions in the O’Gorman Lady Knights.
Pierre is at 9-2 on the season and jumped up to fifth place gaining 50 seed points in the win over Rapid City Christian. The Govs will look to take down a team who has lost both of its game over the last week. O’Gorman dropped a five set match to Roosevelt last Thursday and then fell 2-1 to Dakota Valley on Saturday at the Pentagon Tournament. The Lady Knights are also 9-2 on the season but are sitting in second place in the AA standings. OG’s setter, Bergen Reilly had left the team to compete for Team USA earlier in September, but has since returned and will be in the lineup tonight.
