It’s been 10 days since the Pierre Governor volleyball team has last been on the court. Tonight, Pierre hosts Rapid City Christian in a AA vs. A matchup.
It’s a big contest for the Governors as it can be a 50 point win as Rapid City Christian comes in at 20-4. The Lady Comets have won 11 of the last 12 contests including going 3-1 at the Pentagon Tournament in Sioux Falls over the last weekend. Pierre last played on Sept. 17 in Sioux Falls at Lincoln and the Governors, at 8-2, have dropped its last two games. Pierre returns to action this week against Rapid City Christian and O’Gorman at home while also facing Brandon Valley on the road on Saturday. Pierre is in seventh in the AA standings with plenty of big seed point games remaining in the year.
