The Pierre Governor cheer and dance team completed its busy week with a successful day on Saturday as the dance team would take first place and the cheer team third place.
The dance team was first in both of its categories in the Hip-Hop and Pom divisions. Pierre edged out Rapid City Central in the Hip-Hop by a half point scoring a 250 while beating out Spearfish by 14.5 points with a 252. Overall it put the Governors at a 251 and Rapid City Stevens finished in second with a 243.75.
The cheer team finished in third place on the day with a 199 score and this time fell behind Rapid City Central by a half point nearly taking home second place. Stevens finished in first with a 252.5 to be the grand champion of the day.
