Hughes County Commission Approves Use Of Fabric Material To Help With Bridge Project

HARROLD — A rural bridge in Hughes County is getting some assistance with it’s replacement. Robert Williams with Brosz Engineering says replacement of the Reding Bridge on 321st Avenue south of Harrold is dealing with water on site…

Williams says engineers expected to see the water…

That change order brought to the Hughes County Commission would add a geotextile fabric to stabilize the ground under the bridge…

The total bid for the bridge before the addition of the fabric is just over a million dollars. The bridge is being partially funding through the state Bridge Improvement Grant program on an 80-20 split.
