The Pierre Governor golf team would win its third invite of the season on Tuesday as the team shot a 298 in Watertown and beat the Arrow team out by four strokes.
Luke Olson would have the best finish of any Governor shooting one under par 71 which was good for a second place individual finish. The other three to factor into the team scoring finished inside the top ten as Sawyer Sonnenchein was fifth at a 75 and both Jack Bartlett and Nick Bothun were tied for sixth shooting a 76. Lincoln Houska had a top 20 finish at 17th at an 80. Charlie Simpson finished with a 93.
The Governors will be at Hillsview Golf Course on Saturday for the ESD invite, the final event before the state competition on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 3-4.
