Senior Lincoln Kienholz is off to a fast start on the football field, but Tuesday he was recognized for his talents in another sport. South Dakota American Legion Baseball released its All-State teams and Kienholz received a spot as a pitcher and infielder for the 2022 Summer season.
Kienholz had the lowest ERA and WHIP of any of the seven pitchers selected to the All-State team. Kienholz threw 31.1 innings allowing just a 1.243 ERA and 0.957 WHIP while striking out 52 batters with six walks. Kienholz went a torrid second half of the season hitting .540 with five of his six home runs driving in 13 of his 21 RBIs. He finished with a 1.389 OPS which was second highest among all of the All-State players.
