Over the last two years Capital City Rock has been the home of both the boys and girls state hockey tournaments. Now, Riverfront Broadcasting has entered a partnership with the South Dakota Amateur Hockey Association for the next three years to continue bringing state hockey tournaments.
Capital City Rock and the YouTube channel Capital City Rock Sports will be providing coverage of all varsity state hockey tournaments for both the boys and the girls. Jon Winkler, Jim Lloyd and Jeff Anderson have brought the last two years of the state tournament and it will continue. This year, the girls state tournament will be played in Sioux Falls from March 3-5 with the boys tournament to be in Brookings the following weekend March 10-12.
