The Pierre Governors girls squeaked out a 1-0 win over the Yankton Gazelles while the boys would end up just short in a 4-2 loss on Tuesday in Yankton.

The Governor girls scored its lone goal of the game with just 14 minutes remaining in the first half as Ryann Barry put the Governors up 1-0 and it would be the only tally of the game. The Governor boys went up 1-0 early in the contest with a Rylan Derry free kick just outside the goal box not even three minutes into the game. However, Yankton would answer less than two minutes later to tie the game up before the Bucks would add two more first half goals to take a 3-1 halftime lead.
