FORT PIERRE — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. Council members will get reports from city officials to start the meeting. A pair of proclamations lead off the meeting. Proclamations will be made for Hunger Action Day and Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. The Council will get a progress update on the John Waldron Memorial Bridge and second reading will be given to the 2023 general fund and Triple B budget. A resolution regarding special maintenance fees will be considered by the Council along with the introduction of two ordinances relating to vacation rental homes. Public hearing dates will be set for those ordinances as well. The agenda will close out with a BID Board bylaw update and consideration of a temporary liquor license by the Silver Spur for an event on September 24th.
