Tonight at Riggs High School, the Pierre Governors will have its biggest contest to date as they welcome in powerhouse Sioux Falls Washington in a Top Five matchup.
The Governors are at 8-0 and have played doubled the amount of games as Washington as the Warriors come in at 3-1 with wins over Sioux Falls Jefferson and Yankton in its last contests. The Warriors only loss came in a five set upset to Roosevelt back on August 30. Washington is last year’s state runner up, falling to O’Gorman in the state championship.
The Governors come in having won six straight sweeps and 20 consecutive sets overall as the Governors are in third place in the AA standings dropping a couple of spots after its wins over Sturgis and Spearfish last weekend.
