Governors Fall for First Time in Four Set Loss to Washington

The Pierre Governors opened up a set lead with a 25-18 win but would fall in the next three sets, 25-12, 25-21 and 25-19 in the first loss of the season for the Govs.

Washington was led by Joslyn Richardson with 21 kills on the night as she was held to just three in the first set but had at least five in the next three sets. Ayvrie Kaiser led the way for the Governors in kills with 14, but just had five after the first set. Campbell Boddicker had nine kills, just one shy of double digits for the Govs. Pierre had four aces, three in the first set. Both teams struggled on the service line as Washington had 15 while Pierre had 12. Cate Legel had three aces to lead the way for Washington who improves to 4-1 on the season. It was the first set losses for Pierre since August 26.
