Pierre Tennis Finishes 2-1 in Huron Quad

The Pierre Governor tennis team was able to get a win over its Class A opponent in Huron on Saturday and split its other two matches against the AA opponents at the Huron Quad.

The Governors opened the day with a sweep of the Brookings Bobcats 9-0 before the Watertown Arrows would defeat the Govs 7-2 for only the fourth dual loss of the season. The Governors responded with a 7-2 win over Huron to close the day at 2-1. Sydney Tedrow in singles flight one went 3-0 for Pierre as Jocelyn Corrales in flight four went 2-0. The flight four spot went 3-0 with Bailey Jessen picking up the varsity win in the Huron dual.

The Governors are now 13-4 in duals on the season and have just one dual left in the regular season. The Govs will travel to Aberdeen Saturday to face the Golden Eagles before the ESD and state tournaments. The dual is scheduled for 12:00 on Saturday in Aberdeen.
