Pierre Soccer Splits Home Matches with Brandon Valley

The Pierre girls would be shutout at home on Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Brandon Valley, but the boys would pick up a 2-0 win over the Lynx in the second game of the boys and girls doubleheader.

The Governor girls have dropped its second straight contest and have been outscored 9-1 in the two losses as they couldn’t stop the streaking Brandon Valley Lynx. The Lynx girls team has now won three in a row and have not been beaten in its last four since its only loss of the season. Brandon Valley is now at 4-1-4, just ahead of the Governors for sixth place in the AA standings.

Devon Flottmeyer scored for the second time in as many games, this time on a penalty kick to give Pierre a 1-0 lead at halftime over Brandon Valley. Then it was Rylan Derry to score the second and final strike, just inside the 18 as Nathan Ehrisman picked up the assist. The Governors have not dropped a contest in its last five matches and improved to 6-2-1 on the season and into the top eight of the AA standings. Brandon Valley falls to 0-8-1.
