The Pierre Governor Volleyball team will be out west this weekend taking on both Sturgis and Spearfish with both teams at the bottom of the AA standings.
The Governors, at 6-0 will look to handle business over the weekend as Sturgis and Spearfish have struggled out of the gates in the 2022 season. Sturgis picked up just its first win of the year on Tuesday with a sweep of Custer. In its eight losses, the Scoopers had just one set win and were swept in the other seven contests.
Spearfish comes in having lost now seven in a row after its loss on Tuesday to Rapid City Christian. The Spartans only win came against Red Cloud to begin the season. The Spartans will host Aberdeen Central tonight before facing Pierre on Saturday.
