PIERRE — Three Pierre residents will be recognized later this month in Pierre by the South Dakota Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Scott and Julia Jones will be recognized as the 2022 Outstanding Philanthropists. The couple has made commitments to 44 nonprofits and have led several fundraising campaigns along with service on boards. The Jones’ are no stranger to the A-F-P. Delta Dental, which Scott Jones is C-E-O was given the 2016 Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation in South Dakota. South Dakota Community Foundation President and C-E-O Stephanie Judson is receiving the group’s 2022 Outstanding Fundraising Professional award. Judson helped increase the staff at the Community Foundation from five to 17 and has seen the Foundation grow to over 800-million dollars in assets. The trio will be acknowledged during South Dakota’s National Philanthropy Day, September 27th from 11am to 5pm at the Ramkota in Pierre.
