The Pierre Governor volleyball team is back at home and will look to remain unbeaten on the season as they welcome in the Mitchell Kernels for an ESD contest.
The Governors have won 10 straight sets and are 5-0 on the season after its sweep of Aberdeen Central on Saturday. The Govs are just one of five undefeated teams remaining in Class AA at the quarter mark of the season. The Mitchell Kernels come in at 3-3 on the year but have dropped three of the last four matches including being swept at home on Saturday to the Huron Tigers and going 2-2 in the Huron Invite a couple of weekends ago. The Governors will have the height advantage at the net with just one girl at 5’11 for the Kernels. Pierre won in straight sets last season on the road against the Kernels.
