The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes nearly were able to sweep a triangular at home on Saturday, however, White River came back down 2-0 to beat the Lady Buffs in five sets, but Stanley County responded with a sweep of Little Wound to split the day.
Stanley County took the first two sets against White River 25-21 and 25-22, but the Tigers started its comeback winning both the third and fourth sets 25-23 and taking all the momentum and quickly defeating the Lady Buffs in the fifth set, 15-4. Stanley County was just two points away in each of the third and fourth sets to close out the win. Although the first loss was tough, the Lady Buffs responded well and took out any frustration on Little Wound. The Buffs dominated all three sets winning 25-8, 25-16 and 25-10 to sweep and finish 1-1 on the day.
The Lady Buffs are now 4-2 on the season and will travel to Phillip on Thursday to take on the Lady Scotties. First serve will be around 6:30 Central Time.
