The Pierre Governors will head to Brookings on Friday to take on the Bobcats looking for its first regular season win against the Bobcats since the 2019 season.
Both teams are coming off convincing wins in its first game of the year with the Governors rolling 54-15 over Aberdeen Central and Brookings shutting down Watertown in a 26-3 win. The Bobcat defense will have to be even more stellar tonight against Pierre’s potent offense looking to run up and down the field. However, Brookings has been the lone team over the last two years to defeat the Governors in the regular season both times. Brookings defeated the Governors 21-14 to end the regular season last year. Head Coach of the Pierre Governors, Steve Steele says the Bobcat defense is very good…
While the offense has received a lot of praise, Steele says the defense is just as good for the Governors…
Steele says they need to play their own style tonight…
Kickoff from Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium is scheduled for 7:00 with coverage beginning at 6:30 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
