Pierre Volleyball at Douglas for First Road Contest

For the first time this season, the Pierre Governor volleyball team will be on the road as they travel out west to take on the Douglas Patriots looking to stay undefeated on the year.

The Governors are 3-0 and completed its first three set sweep last Saturday knocking off Rapid City Central and have wins over Watertown and Rapid City Stevens in four sets. The Patriots picked up a sweep of Custer on Tuesday and ended its five match losing streak and are now 2-5 on the year. Douglas’ only other win came against Class A St. Thomas More to begin the season. Douglas played in the Huron invite over the last weekend and went 0-4 and did not pick up a set win on Saturday.

The Governors and Patriots have first serve scheduled for 7:30 Central Time in Box Elder. The Govs will head to Aberdeen Central on Saturday.
