Pierre Soccer Returns Home to Face Mitchell

The Pierre Governor soccer teams will be back at home on Thursday as they take on the Mitchell Kernels who have yet to play this week. The Governors are coming off success against Watertown on Tuesday.

The Kernel girls are coming in having won three in a row and sit at 3-1 on the season. The Kernels have outscored its opponents 10-2 in the last three contests including a 4-2 win over Spearfish in its last win. The Governor girls are now 4-2 on the season and have won back to back contests for the second time this year and have allowed just one goal in its last two.

For the Governor boys, they face a Kernel offense who has yet to get going at 0-2-1 and have just one goal so far on the year. Mitchell played to a scoreless tie against Harrisburg to begin the season and are 0-2 since and been outscored 10-1. The Governors are 3-2-1 and have scored at least three goals in each of its three wins on the season.
