Pierre Soccer Travels to Watertown After Shutout Victories

The Pierre Governor soccer clubs will be on the road to begin the week as they take on the Watertown Arrows in an ESD contest after both the boys and girls team shutout Sturgis last Thursday.

The Pierre girls at 3-2, will face another strong defensive team as Watertown has been stingy allowing goals through six games of the season. The Arrows are allowing just one goal a match and its highest total in a match is two. The Arrows have scored just seven goals on the season and have been shutout in two of its three losses.

The Watertown boys team is at 4-1 on the season and in second place in the AA standings heading into the contest. The Arrows have won three in a row including shutting out its last two opponents and also a win over defending state champion Yankton. Watertown is averaging nearly three goals a game. However, the Governor boys are averaging three goals a match as well after its 4-0 shutout over Sturgis.

Kickoff from Watertown is at 4:00 for the girls game and 6:00 for the boys contest.
