Pierre City Commission To Meet Tonight

PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a four-item consent calendar before moving on to unfinished business. That unfinished business is a public hearing at 5:45 pm to consider a request to vacate a portion of Chapelle Street. In new business, Commissioners will consider approval of a street closure request by the Riggs Band for Governor’s Drive from Church to Broadway from 6:50 to 7:50 am. The Commission will consider approval of a request to bid single phase transformers for the Electric Department and the final pay application and change order on the earthwork part of the outdoor pool project. Commissioners will also consider approval of a plat and easement; a utility and access easement at 106 Eagle Drive and will hear the results of the 2022 Electric System Study. Also on the agenda is city salary considerations and more 2023 budget presentations. Making presentations tonight are Missouri Shores; The Right Turn; River Cities Transit; PEDCO and Business Improvement District One. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
