The Pierre Governor soccer teams will both be looking to get back on the winning trail after a Tuesday loss to Aberdeen Central as the Governors host the Sturgis Scoopers Thursday.
The Pierre girls are 2-2 and have dropped the last two contest with just one goal in the two matches. Sturgis comes in at 2-1 with a win over Class A Belle Fourche on Tuesday. Sturgis only loss has come way of the Mitchell Kernels in a 5-0 shutout.
The Governor boys will be looking for its third win as they are also 2-2 on the season. After a strong offensive outburst against Roosevelt, Pierre couldn’t capitalize on chances throughout the game against Aberdeen. Sturgis is at 3-1 but is just 1-1 against Class AA opponents.
