PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners have a light agenda before them tonight with only five agenda items and the seven-item consent calendar. On the calendar are minutes from the August 16th meeting; the claims, four new hires and promotions and setting a public hearing on September 6th for an intent to lease space at the airport by the Transportation Security Administration. The Commission will consider approval of a street closure request for the Riggs Homecoming parade and an agreement with K-L-J for the Runway 7-2-5 project. Commissioners will consider a request to purchase a dozer for the street department and a request to designate space at Devine Park for a corn hole court project. Two more budget presentations are on the agenda from PAWS Animal Rescue and Pierre Area Referral Service. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
