The Pierre Governor golf team took home first place shooting a school record six under par 282 at Hillsview Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Governors were six shots better than Watertown for first place as the Arrows were even par on the day. Pierre had four of the six golfers inside the top ten on the day. Sawyer Sonnenschein and Luke Olson each shot three under par, 69 which was tied for second place. Nick Bothun was also two under par at 70 which was fifth and Lincoln Houska was two over, 74 tying for eighth place on day. Jack Bartlett would shoot a 75 which was tied for 12th and Charlie Simpson rounded out the Governors at an 88. Watertown’s Jake Olson finished the day as the leader at six under, 66, three shots ahead of second.
The Governors will travel out to Huron on Friday for the Huron Invite. Tee time is scheduled for 10:00 AM.
