Eagle Scout Raising Money For New Corn Hole Boards To Go In At Devine Park

PIERRE — A candidate for Eagle Scout has a plan to bring a series of permanent corn hole boards to Devine Park in Pierre. Parks And Recreation Director Bryan Tipton says Andrew Page approached the city about his idea last winter…

Page has over half of the 85-hundred dollars needed for the project raised and is raising money through donations and the sponsorship of boards…

Tipton says a contractor has offered to donate the concrete work in exchange for a board sponsorship. The area for the boards will be on flat ground that previously hosted tennis courts….

The cost of a board is 800-dollars and a board with sponsorship is 11-hundred dollars. The boards will be a regulation 27 feet apart with 10 feet between sets. Those wanting to sponsor a board or donate to Page’s project can contact Tipton. The City of Pierre will hold the funds as the boards will be ordered through the city. No city funds are being used for the project.
