Aberdeen Central Sweeps Pierre at Home

The Pierre Governor soccer teams would drop both games to the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles on Tuesday as they girls would fall 5-1 and the boys, 2-1.

The Governor girls were unable to get the offense clicking again although Ryann Barry would score her fourth of the year to give the Govs their only tally. Pierre falls to 2-2 on the season and will have to regroup against Sturgis on Thursday.

The Pierre boys had multiple chances throughout the contest, but couldn’t find the mark besides Nathan Ehrisman’s first goal of the season. After being shutout for the past two games the Golden Eagles were able to find the back of the net twice for their third win of the season.

Both Pierre teams are 2-2 and will face the Sturgis Scoopers on Thursday. Both games will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler and Mendel Miller on the call. The girls will play first at 4:00 with the boys to follow at 6:00.
