The Pierre Governor girls dropped just two games all weekend as they beat both Spearfish and St. Thomas More to start the season at 2-0 in duals.
The Governors had a complete sweep of Spearfish on Friday at 9-0 and beat St. Thomas More 7-2 Saturday morning. Kara Weiss, Marlee Shorter, Jocelyn Corrales, Kourtney Walti and Caitlin Ott went undefeated in singles while Sydney Tedrow, Weiss, Corrales and Ott went undefeated in doubles matches. Tedrow in singles flight one and Shorter and Walti in doubles flight two were the only dropped matches of the weekend.
The Governors will now travel out to the Sioux Falls Area next weekend as they will face Harrisburg and Lincoln on Friday and Washington and Roosevelt on Saturday. Matches begin at 12:00 on Friday and 9:00 on Saturday morning.
