PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A proclamation will be made in special business for Professional Engineers Day before Commissioners consider approval of a four-item consent calendar. In unfinished business, Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for 2023 water materials. In new business, the Commission will consider two requests to purchase. Both requests are for backhoe loaders; one for the Water and one for the Electric Departments. Commissioners will consider approval of a plat and a flight inspection contract for services along with a tree trimming reminder and a resolution of intent to create the Central South Dakota Ambulance District. The Commission will also hear 2023 budget presentations and Commissioners will present any dialogue to close out the meeting. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight 5:30 PM.
