Both Frankie Montas and Lou Trevino have been reportedly traded to the New York Yankees around 24 hours before the trade deadline and the deal involved a South Dakotan. Cooper Bowman will be a part of the Oakland organization.

Bowman is listed as the No. 21 prospect in the Yankees minor league system. Bowman, playing for the High A Hudson Valley Renegades is hitting .217 with eight home runs and 35 RBIs in 80 games. Ken Waldichuk along with JP Sears and Luis Medina join Bowman in the trade for the two major league pitchers.
